NowCare Limited Medical Insurance Plans

NowCare, underwritten by Markel Insurance Company, is a flexible, limited benefits plan that includes doctor visits, prescription drugs, vision care, diagnostic testing or X-rays, hospital stays, surgery, accident benefits and more. NowCare pays a specific lump sum amount directly to the covered member. There are no deductibles or copays (except for prescriptions and the optional accident medical benefit), although there’s a 12-month waiting period for coverage for pre-existing conditions unless you have a HIPAA letter of creditable coverage. You can use any doctor or hospital with NowCare but can enjoy greater discounts by visiting a preferred provider in the included nationwide network.
